U.S. Marine fails to shoot down cuddly toys from fairground stand in Thailand
This is the amusing moment a U.S. soldier fails to shoot down cuddly toys on a fairground stand.
The lads from the Marine Corps were attending the notoriously tough Cobra Gold training in Thailand when they ventured into a nearby town for 'rest and relaxation' on February 8.
Despite the military branch being one of the most feared in the world, the carnival attraction seemed to get the better of one squaddie.
Footage from the carnival in Chachoengsao province shows a soldier becoming increasingly frustrated as he fails to shoot down a soft toy with his air rifle.
Despite wearing full camouflage and adopting a battle-zone shooting stance, his efforts fared little better than the nearby children.
Footage was taken by Jirapat Sirilai, a public relation officer of Humanitarian Civic Assistance department of Thai military, while he was taking the team to enjoy the local market.
The American soldiers were playing the popular shooting game, that can be typically found in Thai temple fairs, or Ngan Wat in Thai.
The players can pay 20 Baht (0.50GBP) per round and they can take the dolls they shot down return home with them.
Cobra Gold, the largest international military exercise in Southeast Asia, takes place in Thailand each year.
