Filipino teenager carries his own temperature gun to check those checking him
A Filipino teenager carried his own thermal gun to check the temperature of people who come near him - including security guards who check him.
Footage shows how Eldie Principe was entering the Cabuyao City Hall in Laguna province passing a security check for people infected with coronavirus. Shortly after the security guard checked his temperature, Eldie took out his own thermal gun to point at the gun.
His friend Billy Mabilangan took a video of the interaction on Wednesday, a day before the country announced a lockdown in Manila.
Billy said: "My friend Eldie takes extra precautions. I think he went a little extra with the gun."
Mandatory temperature checking is implemented in establishments in the Philippines to ward off the spread of COVID-19.
They detect people suffering with fevers, one of the symptoms of the coronavirus.
