Kind neighbours donated food and health supplies to a one-year-old girl quarantined over Covid-19 fears in Thailand.

A relative who visited the baby was diagnosed with the coronavirus a few days later on March 22 raising concerns the infant had also contracted it.

The baby girl's mother Nuengruethai, 24, decided that the whole seven members of the family had to be in the quarantine at their home in Trang, southern Thailand.

Neighbours were worried about them so together they bought the necessary things for the family, including food and other essential items.

Footage from Friday (27/03) shows the district MP visited the family for giving them the goods that he and the family neighbours bought for them.

The girl's mother said they have been in quarantine for five days already but no one showed any sign of sickness yet.

She said: "My friend held my baby girl when she visited us and later when I found out that she was diagnosed with the disease, I was shocked.

"I worried that my daughter would be infected, so we decided to keep everybody inside the house.

"Fortunately, nobody has become sick yet and hopefully we will pass the rest of the days without sickness."
