A community-minded neighbour wakes up at 6am every morning to voluntarily disinfect his street during the coronavirus pandemic.

Bobby Abigan, 56, sprays disinfectant sanitising liquid across the narrow alleyways near his home in Cavite, the Philippines.

Footagefrom April 2 shows him carrying out the good deed to help keep his family and his neighbours free from the Covid-19 disease, which can survive on surfaces for several hours. The infected droplets can even stay in the air.

Bobby said: ''I'll keep doing this until the virus has completely stopped. Everyone has a responsibility to do their part.''

The Philippines has recorded 3,094 coronavirus cases and 144 deaths since the pandemic began. Officials have enforced lockdowns, curfews and food restrictions to try and strop the spread of the pandemic.
