This is the moment India responded to Prime Minister Modi's call to switch off the lights in their homes and light candles in a show of unity against the coronavirus pandemic.

Narendra Modi called on Indians to come together for nine minutes at 9 p.m. on April 5 to by lighting candles and lamps or switching on flashlights in support of those worst-hit by the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.

This is the moment India celebrated a mini Diwali by turning off their lights and lighting lamps, glowing cellphone torches, bursting firecrackers and blowing conch shells to stand united against the ongoing COVID-19 crisis across the world.
