A car museum owner has designed a coronavirus shaped car to spread awareness about the deadly disease in the south Indian state of Telangana.

The car was driven on the road on April 8 in Hyderabad city.

A video of the incident shows the maker of the car driving it on the road amid lockdown as onlookers get a glimpse of it.

According to the reports, the single-seater car is fitted with a 100cc engine and has the capacity to run up to 40 kilometres (24 miles) using a litre of fuel.

The maker of the car, K Sudhakar Yadav and the founder of Sudha Car Museum stated that he had designed the car to spread awareness about the virus and educate people.

He was earlier known for designing a condom-like bike to spread awareness about AIDS, and a helmet car for head safety.

The museum is known for unique and specially designed cars.
