Two king cobras were seen mating among trees in Laos as locals sat nearby to watch.

Onlooker Npliam Lis was amazed when he saw the huge snakes fiercely entwined in an alley thicket in Xiangkhouang, eastern Laos, on March 12.

Video shows the two serpents coiling on the dried leaves and rolling around each other's bodies.

The cobras went slithering back into the undergrowth after their public display. Npliam said: ''No one was harmed by the snakes. Normally everyone is scared of them but this time everyone was interested.''
