Two cobras stalled passing residents as they entwined around each other.

The venomous snakes occupied the dirt path while mating in a remote village in Catanduanes, the Philippines on March 27.

Footage shows the creatures in an amazing courtship dance. The snakes gently rolled around each other, appearing to squirm.

Resident Arnel Fernandez said they were delayed for about two hours as the route was usually being used by teachers and students on the way to school.

He said: ‘We thought they were fighting, so no one dared to come near them. We know how venomous these snakes are, and we live very far from the hospital.'
