A group of Chinese residents flipped a car on its side to give way to a fire engine on May 10.

In the video, shot in Nanbu County in Sichuan Province, a fire engine was forced to stop on a road as several cars were illegally parked and blocked its way.

The fire engine attempted to squeeze through the narrow space but failed.

Nearby people teamed up to lift a white car and flipped it onto its side to clear the road for the fire engine to pass through.

According to reports, the fire engine was on its way to rescue a house fire. Fortunately, the fire did not cause serious injuries despite the delay.

2020年5月10日晚23时10分，南部县宏观乡一居民房起火，南部县消防救援站接警出动。当消防车行驶至蜀园街时，道路两侧停放多辆私家车，甚至个别车辆停放不规范，导致道路堵塞，无法通行。
火情紧急，在尝试多种方法未果后，消防车只能采取剐蹭等方法通过该道路。但就当消防车继续行驶10余米左右，又有一辆白色小轿车停放至道路中间，彻底将道路堵死。听到警报声围观而来的市民见有私家车完全挡住了道路，就自发组织将该车掀到路边，清理出通道保障消防车辆通行。此时距报警已经过去将近半小时，万幸的是，最终此次火灾没有酿成大祸。
消防车通道是火灾发生时供消防车通行的道路，是实施灭火救援的“生命通道”，国家法律和消防技术标准对消防车通道的设置和管理有明确要求。但是，由于群众法律和安全意识不强、有关单位管理不到位等原因，各地堵塞消防车通道的现象屡禁不止，因此影响火灾救援甚至造成人员伤亡的情况时有发生。（视频由南充消防提供）
