Baby turtles hatch on beach and scamper into the sea
Adorable footage shows newly-hatched Olive Ridley sea turtles scramble across the sand with their siblings as they race into the ocean.
Surfing instructor and environmentalist Winston Plaza, who is part of the Save Our Seas movement in the Philippines, said their island is a turtle nesting spot so he takes the time to educate their guests about the marine animals.
He said: "I explain to our guests the correct way to enjoy the island without disturbing the wildlife.
"It is fun to see turtles spread across the island and they can freely move around without being abused by the locals and tourists."
The video was recorded in Dahican Beach, Davao on June 25.
The turtles are also commonly as the Pacific Ridley sea turtle. The species is the second smallest and most abundant of all sea turtles found in the world.
