In Southern India elderly woman was rescued from 80-foot-deep well

Fire department officials rescued a 55-year-old woman from a 80-foot-deep well in Arasalur village, Thottiam of Tiruchirapalli district in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The visuals show, one of the fire department official being lowered down into the well using thick ropes.

Villagers are seen gathered around few helping the fire officials and few watching the rescue operation.

Then the elderly woman is seen being pulled up from the well using ropes, after which the firefighter makes his way up the well.

Later, the woman is seen getting treatment in an ambulance deployed at the incident spot.

The reports state that, on getting information about the women fallen inside the well.

A team consisting of firemen’s Rajendran, Karthikeyan, Sathish Kumar, T Mani, Suthir and Shiva led by Station fire officer A Rajeshwaran arrived at the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

Firefighter T Mani was the one who went down the well to rescue woman identified as Mallika (55) from the well.
Fortunately, the woman was rescued with minor injuries.
