Police use tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse a protest denouncing a new security bill in Nantes, France
The protest started two hours earlier with at least 6000 people gathering in downtown Nantes, France to denounce a new security bill that would ban filming police officer, allow police to use drone for surveilliance, and allow facial recognition during protests. After marching though the city once, the crowd decided to go for another tour. After some time, some protesters wanted to take a different road to the core of the city, a forbidden area that police defends. After throwing some bottles and projectiles to the police, the officers fired multiple tear gas grenades that quickly engulfed the entire streets.
