the trans sumatera road is a busy lane on the island of sumatera. there are still many forests along this path. many places on this road were occupied by furry creatures who were also busy, busy looking for food. their population exploded. this is due to their hobby of sex, especially the main male. as long as you see the female closely, she immediately mates. another cause is the loss of their natural predators, tigers and pythons.
their habitat is also increasingly limited. due to the development of rubber and oil palm plantations. two plants they couldn't eat. each group of macaques consists of 50 or more.
finally they are looking for food to the side of this main road in Sumatra. hoping to throw food from passing vehicles. many threw food at them.
one place in the town of sawahlunto is the point of monkeys looking for food. they know every evening this line will be crowded with vehicles. Besides that, the local people are also diligent in giving them leftover food, fruit that is no longer sold, or leftovers from the kitchen. These monkeys are not picky about food.
