Berliners line up to go shopping as Germany prepares for a second round of lockdown
Christmas shoppers in Berlin enjoy one last day of shops being open before a second hard lockdown is due to commence in Germany tomorrow.
Many city landmarks that are usually packed with people are now almost empty due to the impending lockdown and lack of tourism in the city.
This is due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases within the country, Berlin, in particular, being one of the hotspots for covid-19.
This lockdown will last until at least January 10 however during the Christmas period, from December 24th to 26th, the states can relax the rules slightly – by allowing a household to invite four people who belong to the "immediate family circle"
