This was the shocking moment the raging relative of patients in northern India's Gurugram city rammed a vehicle into a hospital building.

CCTV footage from Balaji Hospital shows the moment a driver rams his truck repeatedly into a building, causing serious damage as onlookers take evasive action.

The incident occurred after an elderly couple were admitted to the hospital after allegedly being assaulted by their son, the driver of the truck. The reason for their dispute is unknown.

Their son-in-law brought them to the hospital, accompanied by other relatives.

When the son turned up to the hospital and saw the son-in-law it turned ugly and chaos ensued.

Director of Balaji Hospital Dr Balwan Singh said: "He rammed our hospital at least seven to eight times with his vehicle. A receptionist and a security guard had a narrow escape. The medical store and 10 to 15 vehicles were damaged. It left all the doctors and staff terrified."

Local police are investigating.

At least two hospital employees had a narrow escape from the man’s shocking rage, which left several vehicles, including an ambulance, damaged.

An elderly couple, with head injuries, had come to Balaji hospital in the city on December 18 accompanied by a few members of their family.

The couple had been allegedly assaulted by their son and then brought to the hospital by their son-in-law.

When the doctors were treating the couple the son also arrived at the hospital in his truck. He saw his estranged brother-in-law standing outside the hospital and tried to run over him in rage.

While the relative ran to save his life, the hospital suffered collateral damage.

Dr Balwan Singh, Director of Balaji Hospital, said: "He rammed our hospital at least 7-8 times with his vehicle. A receptionist and a security guard had a narrow escape. The medical store and 10-15 vehicles were damaged. It left all the doctors and staff terrified.

Local police have registered a complaint and are probing the case.
