Two male Russell's Vipers pursued a female and all three of them fell into an irrigation well during the heat of the moment.

Ganesh Bhote, a farmer in Ahmednagar, saw the three deadly snakes inside his 50-feet deep well and made a call to Animal Welfare Society. Akash Jadhav and his team went to the spot to rescue the snakes.

Expert rescuer Nawaz Shaikh got down the well with the help of a harness, which was held by his colleagues. He spotted two vipers huddled together and caught them first.

The third viper had climbed way up a little but was unable to move any further as the mud wall was slippery. It was made to drop to the water and then rescued. All the three snakes were released in a forest later.

Akash said: “It was a risky rescue as the well had just mud walls, which could have caved in anytime. But Nawaz is so good in these dangerous rescues, he makes them look easy.”
