Bars re-open in Pattaya, Thailand, as COVID-19 restrictions eased
Footage shows bars preparing to re-open in Pattaya, Thailand, following the easing of Covid-19 restrictions on Monday (February 1).
The region had been placed in lockdown with all high risk venues closed. But after stopping the spread of new infections in the province, officials lifted measures and allowed bars to operate again.
Thailand has recorded 19,618 COVID-19 cases and 77 deaths as of February 1. Ministers have enforced restrictions on tourists arriving in the country since March last year.
