Fire team evacuates horse trapped in drainage ditch in Jakarta, Indonesia
A team of firefighters rescued a horse trapped in a water channel in South Jakarta, Indonesia, on Saturday 15 May.
The emergency workers from the Cilandak district saved the white horse from a ditch on the Antasari Cilandak road.
Six firefighters were involved in the operation.
Jakarta is prone to flooding so deep drainage channels are common in the city. Some are uncovered and some are covered with concrete slabs that later fall into the ditches below.
