This is the moment a man filmed a deer in his back garden – while watching presenters on Springwatch moan about not seeing any deer.

Henry Szwinto was watching the BBC show on Tuesday at his home in the New Forest.

Presenters can be heard telling viewers: “Wil will be keeping an eye out and hopefully we can bring you some young deer before the end of the series.”

Henry then filmed the TV and panned across to show a young deer casually eating in his back garden,

Photographer Henry said: “Jokingly a lot of people have said you should be doing Springwatch from your garden.

“We were watching Springwatch and they were having a moan about not having any deer to show.

“I just thought 'well we’ve got this next to us - why not film it?' We’ve got a very good wildlife garden.

“That one is heavily pregnant. Last year we had a couple of little ones comes right up to the patio doors.”
