The gigantic task of conducting vaccination drives can become a lot easier and faster with the use of drones in eastern India's Odisha on June 20. The incident took place in Bhubaneswar.

Visuals feature the crowd testing the unmanned drone in broad daylight to check if it can reach the far-flung areas. After a while, a man walks on the ground with the drone and launches it towards the sky. In the meantime, it soars in the air and travels across the region while the onlookers behold the spectacle.

These drones were earlier used by companies for surveillance purposes, but after the country required some new and efficient mode of transporting vaccines, the students from the Industrial Training Institute of Cuttack constructed the unmanned drone to reach the remote areas faster. They can travel for about three hours in the sky and cover a distance of 50 kilometers (31 miles).

Moreover, after conducting trials and taking permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the drone is all set to facilitate just-in-time delivery to deal with the health crisis.
