World’s largest plane, the Antonov An-225 Mriya, 'destroyed during Russian attack on Kyiv airport'
The largest plane in the world, the Antonov An-225 Mriya, has reportedly been destroyed during the Russian bombing on Kyiv airport.
According to a tweet from Ukraine's minister of foreign affairs, this aircraft has been destroyed at Hostomel Airport outside Kyiv on February 27.
Archive footage here filmed at RAF Brize Norton (BZZ/EGVN), Oxfordshire, UK shows the plane on June 24, 2021. Only one AN-225 was built by Antonov, making it a rare sight.
