Awakened craniotomy surgery done on woman while she recite Hanuman Chalisa in central India.
A successful brain tumor surgery was performed without completely sedating a woman in the Neuro Surgery Department of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in the capital Delhi. The woman also continued to recite Hanuman Chalisa during the surgery.
A 24-year-old young school teacher who had a large brain tumor (glioma) on the left side of the brain. While the doctors were removing her tumor, she kept on reciting Hanuman Chalisa. Some member present in the operation theater made a video of it.
After the surgery, she shampooed her hair and walked out of the operation theaters smiling without any hesitation, oblivious of any surgery being performed on her.
