Chinese pianist's last public performance before he was arrested with sex worker
China's "Piano Prince" named Li Yundi was detained for hiring a sex worker on October 21.
The 39-year-old pianist and a 29-year-old sex worker were caught in a residential community after authorities received tip-offs and they both have confessed to the illegal activity.
The video filmed in the city of Yichang in Hubei Province on October 14 shows Li playing a song named "I Love You, China" on piano on the opening ceremony of the 12th China Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, which became his last performance in public before he was arrested.
The Chinese Musicians Association announced that they had removed Li Yundi from their list.
Li was currently appearing on the reality show "Call Me By Fire", which featured 33 male celebrities competing to form a 17-member performance group.
After Li was arrested, the Chinese network Mango TV removed the first seven episodes of the show and blurred him out of the latest episodes.
Li is most well known for being the youngest pianist, who won the XIV International Chopin Piano Competition in 2000 at the age of 18.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
