This is the magical moment a fiancé saw his future wife without her hijab for the very first time - after almost three years of dating.

Zeinab Bazzi, 22, and her fiancé Hassan Awada, 24, first met at the beginning of 2019 and have since conducted their relationship on the basis of their strict Islamic beliefs.

This has meant that until Hassan proposed he was not permitted to see his partner without her head scarf at any time.

But, last month, after almost three years of dating, Hassan popped the question and the couple had their marriage ceremony at their local mosque.

Shortly after the service, Zeinab's family decided to surprise Hassan by capturing his emotional reaction to seeing his wife's new look on camera.

In the video, Hassan, can be seen nervously walking around the corner and seeing Zeinab without her religious attire for the very first time.

Zeinab, from Dearborn, Michigan, said: "It really was a magical moment after almost three years together.

"When he walked around the corner and saw me I could tell he was just so overjoyed - we both were.

"It was my sisters idea to film his reaction and it certainty didn't disappoint.

"We now have a beautiful video we can cherish forever and were extremely grateful that we have the opportunity to share it with the world."

The video was filmed on October 2nd 2021.
