A long and winding ramp for wheelchairs baffled locals in Thailand.

The 100-meter-long ramp in Chonburi province appeared to have six levels and several turns, making it a struggle for wheelchair users to access the restroom on the top floor of the petrol station.

Service station staff said that the ramp was built to help people with disabilities and the elderly reach the restroom using a wheelchair.

They added that the multiple turns on the ramp were to prevent wheelchair users from falling if the ramp was too steep for them.

However, locals criticised the design of the ramp and said that it would be hard to disabled people in wheelchairs to negotiate the slope.
