Locals in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, filled their own containers with mustard oil leaking from an overturned tanker.

Footage from November 7 shows the vehicle flipped on its side in a pool of oil.

Passersby were seen gathered around the truck filling up their containers with the oil.

The brakes of the tanker had failed causing the vehicle to overturn.

A tanker carrying mustard oil overturned after its breaks failed in central India's Madhya Pradesh on November 7. The incident took place on the Indore Bypass road.

Visuals feature the locals crowding the place to steal oil from the overturned tanker. They swarm the region and carry any utensil they could to fill the oil. Some use plastic jugs, while others grab bucket-like objects. Meanwhile, the vehicular movement on the road is obstructed due to the large crowd of onlookers.

The breaks of the vehicle failed, following which it overturned on the road. Later, the locals arrived at the spot to loot the oil spilled on the street.
