This is the moment a truck dragged a car down an Illinois motorway after the vehicle became pinned underneath it.

Nolan Galvan, 41, was minding his own business when his dash came caught the bizarre collision on the Interstate 294 in the Chicago area.

In Nolan's video, a person is waving out of the driver's-side window as their car is dragged by the truck for over half a mile.

Nolan, from Waukegan, Illinois, said: "That day the driver of the car was driving recklessly.

"She was switching lanes like crazy and when she moved from the fast lane to the slow lane that's when the car started to lose control.

"She did a 360 spin and end up under the trailer.

"I watched for a whole minute thinking the driver was going to stop but he didn't until I pulled next to him and started to sound my horn to get his attention.

"He eventually noticed me, and then I signaled him about the car under his trailer - that's when he stopped."

The video was filmed on November 30.
