Villagers in central India's Madhya Pradesh are taking precautions to extremes in their ambition to beat Covid.

Video shot in Chanderi village in Sehore district on 11 December shows mask-clad villagers attempting to maintain safety by making everyone wear a mask, including the cattle!

The villagers also sing songs to keep people aware of the situation, while others get themselves vaccinated at the local health centre.

It should be noted that while getting vaccinated is proven to offer powerful protection against the virus, there is little evidence for the supposed benefits of masking farm animals.

However, the village's enthusiasm for hygiene has benefitted its 1,500 population, amongst which locals claim there have been no proven cases of infection.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the locals in different ways in central India's Madhya Pradesh on December 11. The incident took place in Chanderi village in Sehore district.

Singing songs, making animals wear masks, getting everyone vaccinated to keep everyone safe in the village has played the role of the balm for the soul for those promoting these activities in Chanderi village. Moreover, given the danger of the new variant Omicron, a social worker, along with a 70-year-old man named Shivcharan, has taken this unique initiative while MS Mewada is appealing to the villagers by singing songs to get vaccines. This new way of spreading awareness among the villagers had benefited the village with a population of 1,500 as no one got infected by the virus.
