Awan Rampaichon snared the arachnid from bushes near her home in rural Chanthaburi province, Thailand.
She then barbecued the dark brown creature over an open fire until it was black and crispy before munching on it with her father.
Awan Rampaichon said: 'This large spider taste very good. I only get to eat it once in a year.'
The youngster catches the creepy crawlies when they are in season and eats them with her family, who treat them as a delicacy.
