The Armed Criminal Group, which is claimed by the Government of Indonesia as an Armed Terrorist Separatist Group that often claims to be the West Papua National Liberation Army, the military wing of the Free Papua Movement, shot dead one TNI Army soldier and injured four other soldiers in an attack on the border of Faan Kahiro Village and Kamat in East Aifat District, Maybrat District, West Papua on Thursday (20/1/2022) morning.



Previously, five Indonesian Army soldiers from the 20th Combat Engineer Battalion/Pawbili Pele Alang Sorong were to repair the Serpas bridge at 07.00 WIT.

Four other soldiers were injured, namely Serda Darusman, Prada Aziz, Prada Abraham and Prada Safril Odeng. They were treated at the TNI AL Hospital Doctor Oetojo Sorong.

Meanwhile, Serda Miskel Rumbiak's body was buried in his hometown of Friwen, Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua militarily.
