This is the scary moment a huge wild snake fell from a tree branch - while a woman was clearing away leaves below.

Ying Kanya Ryvint was tidying up her garden when she heard rustling overhead in Bangkok, Thailand on February 18.

As she bent down to scoop dried leaves, she noticed something moving before a 3ft-long rat snake suddenly fell from the tree. Fortunately, the creature missed her by mere seconds as she quickly walked away.

The actress and radio DJ said there was heavy rain the night before so she cleaned the garden in the morning.

She said: 'I don’t normally sweep the leaves in the morning. I do it in the evening but the night before it had rained so the house was dirty.

'So I swept the floor in the morning and cleaned up after my dog then continued with the sweeping. Then I felt strange like something was moving and looked around. I just thought ‘Oh!’

Ying added that she ran to avoid the snake despite 'not looking scared' in the video.

She said: 'I saw its body only of the size of my palm. Its body was not very big. I saw only a portion of its body and ran to avoid it.

'In the video I don’t look shocked. Then, when I saw the snake I didn’t know its body would be hanging so low.

'I was already very scared, scared. I shudder when I think of it. I’m not scared to death but it gives me goosebumps.

'If it dropped right in front of me I would have fainted. I’m so scared.'

The woman told her neighbour about the snake who helped her search until they found it in a trash bin before they called security staff to take it out.

She said: 'I thought of telling my neighbour because they have kids at home. Tell them that the snake had slithered either into my house or yours.

'After half an hour my neighbour called, saying they found the snake in the trash can.

'We’re very lucky to find where the snake was. I imagined I’d have to be nervous and scared for a long time.'

No one was reported hurt in the incident and the snake was released into the wild.
