Vaccination for children 6-11 years old in Indonesia is still low

Efforts to vaccinate children aged 6-11 years in several areas in Indonesia continue to be carried out. As recently implemented in Padang, West Sumatra, Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Even targeting 564,833,000 children aged 6-11 years in the Province of West Sumatra, Indonesia to have received the vaccine.

According to information from the Committed in Improving the Health of Indonesian Children (IDAI), the number of children suffering from Covid-19 in Indonesia is still high or at 676 cases as of January 24, 2022. Then it increases to 2,775 cases, according to data as of January 31, 2022.

"We have just completed 27 per cent of vaccinations for children in West Sumatra," said Commissioner of Police Lisda Cancer, Head of Doctors and Health (Dokkes) of the West Sumatra Police.
