This is the shocking moment a step ladder fell from the back of a moving pick-up truck.

Wanchai Poolpermpant was driving to work when the 5ft-high object toppled over in front of him in Nakhon Pathom province, Thailand on February 27.

Fortunately, he was able to hit the brakes when the ladder crashed onto the road only inches away from his car.

He said: 'Drivers should be more careful as they are sharing the road with other people. If I didn't move out in time, the ladder would have smashed into my windshield.'

The pickup truck's driver realised that the ladder had fallen and pulled over on the side before apologising to the Wanchai.

The ladder was removed from the road. No one was reported hurt or damaged in the incident.
