This is the shocking moment an out-of-control pick-up truck smashed through a shop in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the vehicle skidding off a road towards a pharmacy in Chanthaburi province on June 17. In another clip from inside the building, frantic shop assistants ran away as the truck crashed.

The driver was reportedly about to make a turn in the petrol station when the brakes failed and he lost control. The vehicle avoided hitting a concrete barrier but skidded towards the shop instead.

No one was hurt including the driver who only had minor scratches. He was taken to the police station for questioning.

Pharmacy owner Jiraphorn Saelee, 32, said: ‘When I saw the pickup truck heading towards this way, I was so shocked. I ran away as fast as I could and avoided being hit.'

Officers at the Makham Police Station went to the scene to investigate and took the driver with them for questioning.

The driver was not intoxicated and agreed to pay for the damage to the shop.
