A shocked woman spotted a giant 11ft-long jumbo king cobra invading her house.

Terrified Chayapon Ruttiron, 27, called the local rescue team after seeing the large snake entering her property in Prachin Buri province, Thailand, on March 13.

Before the rescue team arrived, Chayaporn saw the king cobra exit through the gate but hid in the area next to her house instead.

The local rescue team found Chayaporn waiting outside and went over to the bushes behind the house to look for the snake.

Chayaporn said: 'It was a scary experience but I know that the snake came to my house to bring me luck. I will buy a lottery ticket that has my house number in it.'

The team took 30 minutes to locate the reptile until they found king cobra pushing its head up high from the grass hissing at them. A team member quickly hooked the snake on its head and dragged it out to the open.

As they dragged the snake to the open, they found that the male snake was 11ft-long and weighed more than 4.3kgs. The team kept the snake in a fertilizer bag to later free it to the wild.

No one was hurt in the incident.
