Brave firemen caught an aggressive king cobra that was hissing at them inside a resident's toilet.

The team was called to the property when shocked house owner Jindamaneerat Buranawat walked in on the venomous snake slithering over the tiled floor of the room in Bangkok, Thailand on November 18.

When the team arrived, they found the snake hiding behind the toilet bowl before battling to pull the aggressive snake out.

Footage shows a rescue team member luring the snake out of the cramped toilet with a hook. It became aggressive and made angry hissing sounds and low-pitched growls at the firemen.

Resident Jindamaneerat said: ‘It was a regular trip to the toilet that was made more eventful by the snake. It's a good thing I always turn on the lights in the bathroom, even in the daytime.

‘If I had not seen its tail, it would have bitten me. I still get the shivers if I think about it now.'

The rescuers successfully pulled the snake out of the toilet. It attempted to attack one of them but to no avail.

After about 20 minutes, the cobra was placed inside a blue plastic bucket before it was transported to the forest and released.

No one was hurt in the incident.
