Snow clearance operation underway in northern India
Authorities carried out snow clearing operations after heavy snowfall in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir on March 27. The incident took place on the historic Mughal Road.
Visuals feature the authorities carrying out maintenance work to clear the roads after heavy snowfall. The paths and the entire region are encased with dense layers of snow. Some locomotives are seen blowing out the snow covering the path from an engine as it moves ahead.
Amid the closure of historic Mughal Road, the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated the snow clearance operation on Mughal road. The road has been lying closed for several months.
