This is the chaotic moment a British 'cocaine baron' was arrested following an alleged nightclub attack - bringing his underworld empire tumbling down.

Darren Wall, 44, is said to punched a local then brandished a gun at the Secret Door nightclub in Manila, the Philippines, in the early hours of March 23.

Police stormed in and pinned the Brit to the ground before remanding him and glamorous Filipina wife Khanary Jane Abejo, 23, in custody.

The arrest lead police to uncover Darren's alleged brutal crime empire - with dozens of suspected victims coming forward to make complaints against him. He has since been remanded in custody in Manila.

Wall is alleged to have had cops on the payroll providing him with protection as he inflicted a vicious reign of terror on locals.

He is now locked up with violent inmates at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City amid accusations of kidnapping, extortion, drug dealing, assault, criminal damage and threats to kill. If convicted he faces a life sentence of 18 years without parole - with his family believing he will 'die in prison'.

Police Colonel Michael Villanueva, District Chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), said Wall is facing a life sentence of 18 years without parole if he is found guilty of drug dealing and possessing a handgun.

There could be further charges added depending on the investigation. However, Wall could also dodge a deadly Philippine prison if prosecutors decide to deport him instead.

The policeman said: 'We conducted a record check and found out that he is facing a fraud charge according to Interpol records. We also have information that he is involved in scamming in other countries.

'We will be coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration regarding his deportation and also we will check his records.'
