28 snake eggs, 47 venomous snakes including a 20 years aged snake rescued in Balasore and its periphery .
One snake help line member Kartik Sethi rescued 47 venomous snakes like Monocle Cobra, Spectacle Cobra, snakes and 28 snake eggs (venomous) in this week from various parts of the district east coast area of India .Out of these rescued 28 eggs,5 have hatched and 19 are yet to be hatched. According to snake helpline member Kartik , he rescued one Spectacle Cobra . Whose length is 5 / 6 feet , weight is likely to be 5 kg and above and age is 21 years near about . This snake is rescued from Kabisuryanagar of Balasore. He also rescued one Cobra. According to Kartik these snakes will be released in the dense forest of Nilgiri, Balasore.
One local’s of Balasore says-we are facing snake problems throughout the year here. Everyday snake bite cases occurred here and hospitalized daily.Specially in monsoon the number of cases turns to upper limits. Snakes entered to the houses from the sanctuary and nearby forests.
According to Kartik, he has given his phone number to all the P.S of Balasore and posted in his facebook.It is easy for people to dial me when they faces problems of snake.After rescuing the snakes,I released them at Nilgiri Hill which is a sanctuary of Balasore forest division limits.This is 20 km distance from Balasore district.
