Korean star DJ Soda injured when fan hurls GLASS at her
A Korean music star was injured after a fan hurled a glass at her as she was leaving a club in Indonesia.
South Korean disc jockey 'DJ Soda' had finished her set when the object smashed at her feet sending splinters of glass flying into her leg.
CCTV footage shows a male fan throwing what appeared to be a glass cup toward the celebrity who was surrounded by her bodyguards in Batam City on August 3.
The celebrity said the fan was angry because he was blocked by her guards from approaching. He reportedly yelled at the security detail before lobbing the glass at them in fury.
DJ Soda said staff promptly kicked the rampaging man out of the club - but not before he injured a female employee whom he allegedly punched in the face.
The star said: 'I hope that there's no misunderstanding towards the club. They've been taking care of me very well since my arrival and worried about what happened last night and even apologized to me when it's not their fault.
'I really appreciate everyone from the club for taking care of me very well.'
The DJ, whose actual name is Hwang So-hee, said doctors have removed the glass splinters from her right leg and she is scheduled to travel to Bali to continue her tour.
She said: 'I really love seeing my fans close to interact more but if this kind of incidents happen, I can't come out to see you guys close anymore. Please keep your etiquette and manners.'
