This is the shocking moment dozens of tourists fought on a riverbank in Taiwan.

The holidaymakers - reportedly Vietnamese migrant workers - were cooling off at the Dabao Xi River in New Taipei on July 31 when a fight erupted between two members of the group.

Footage shows the chaotic scene as the visitors picked up stones and haphazardly threw them at each other. One person was seen falling to the ground after apparently being struck by a stone, with a woman rushed to check on his condition soon after.

The fight broke up after the group learned that local officers had been called to the scene.

Preliminary investigations found that there were 16 people involved, and all of them were allegedly foreign migrant workers. Officers said they are now investigating the identities of the individuals.

An onlooker who witnessed the incident said: 'I took my family to the stream to relax, but I didn't expect a fight to break out.'
