Devon and Cornwall Police have warned ticket holders heading to Boardmasters Festival in Cornwall against cooking on site due to fire risks ahead of another heatwave warning for the UK.

The force tweeted on Tuesday (August 9): As @CornwallFRS says, stick to a picnic or a pasty on your days out. If you're off to @boardmasters, please note that cooking isn't allowed in the campsites. Don’t bring a camping stove, cooker or BBQ.”

The festival returns to Watergate Bay in Cornwall on August 10-14 with George Ezra, Kings of Leon and Disclosure among the performers. Over 55,000 music and surf fans are on their way this year. The main music arena is in a spectacular clifftop location overlooking Watergate and Newquay bays. The main proportion of fans will be camping on site, some in teepees. Shuttle buses will transport fans to and from Porth and Newquay during the event.

Video filmed on Tuesday shows the festival site.
