Disgusting moment 13ft-long python regurgitates two chickens it swallowed whole
This is the disgusting moment a 13ft-long python regurgitated two chickens it swallowed whole in Thailand.
The ravenous reptile was found slinking under a storage hut next to a family's home in Chai Nat province. Upon being confronted by the rescuers, it tried to escape into a murky pond nearby, but was quickly pinned down using snake poles.
As the specialists stretched out the hefty serpent to be measured, its stomach was noticeably bulging, having preyed on the owner's livestock before it was captured.
It was then placed inside a sack and later released into the undergrowth away from the village.
Stomach-turning footage shows how the newly freed serpent regurgitated its last meal - two entire chickens which it stole from the resident's hen house.
The relieved homeowner said: ‘My chickens would mysteriously disappear from the chicken house. I have contacted rescue volunteers to get rid of the snake many times, but it always managed to escape. Luckily, this time it's officially gone from my house.'
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
