Escaped stag rampages in coffee shop in Thailand
This is the moment an escaped stag was caught after rampaging through a coffee shop in Thailand.
The runaway animal tore through the cafe, causing a panic among residents and customers in Dan Chang district in Suphan Buri province on September 9.
Store owner Papawadee Charoenbandit, 38, said she saw the deer sprint across the street and enter her shop before she could stop it. She called rescue volunteers after she locked it in the back area of the cafe.
Suphanburi Rescue Foundation officers arrived and found the stag lying next to a fish pond.
Upon seeing them, it began to panic again, pinballing across the yard and ramming into them several times before they finally grabbed hold of its large antlers. They then tied up its legs to keep it from escaping.
The rescuers believe the deer might be domesticated since it was wearing a plastic number tag on one of its ears. It had also sustained multiple abrasions all over its body.
The officers said they have coordinated with relevant agencies to provide temporary care for the animal until its owner is identified.
A resident named Nam-Aoy who lives next to the store said: 'Before the deer ran to the cafe, it ran into my property while I was doing laundry.
'It crashed into one of the glass doors, leaving many wounds on its body. It even tried to slam into me but I managed to avoid it.'
