Snake wranglers caught a massive python that swallowed three kittens inside a family's home.

The 16ft reptile was spotted by homeowner Manoch Prasarnsuk, 50, slithering around his cats' empty cages before he called rescuers for help in Chachoengsao, Thailand.

Dramatic footage shows the experts approaching the area where the serpent had been hiding and using a noose to secure its neck.

The animal resisted and coiled around the catching pole, but its belly was swollen from a heavy meal, making it easier for the team to drag it out of the house.

Manoch said: 'The same snake came to my house and ate the mother cat last month. I could not find it anywhere, but I am sure it was the same one.

'This time, it came back when the kittens had grown and ate them. I saw it early in the morning trying to escape, so I called for help right away.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
