This resourceful Burmese vendor uses an improvised slicer to efficiently cut thin sheets from a tofu block in Mandalay, Myanmar.

Oddly satisfying footage shows the woman gliding the slingshot-like tool over the soft, white block, then handing the paper-thin sheets over to her customers.

The tofu is then sun-dried before being fried as snacks similar to potato crisps.

The makeshift implement was reportedly fashioned out of a split piece of bamboo fitted with an oil-covered guitar string that slices the tofu.
