Famous leopard in the Maasai Mara called Kaboso allowing her cub to play with her tail. This leopard has since gone missing sparking fears that it may be dead
We were on a game drive in the Maasai Mara, Kenya when we were looking for my favourite leopard called Kaboso. We knew she had a small cub so we tried really hard to look for her. It was an amazing sighting when in a small clearing, we saw them two. The mother leopard wanted to sleep but the cub had other ideas. We watched them play for an hour whilst the cub was playing with the tail, they hugged and cuddled for ages. It was so amazing to see this interaction in the wild! It is quite difficult to see leopard cubs this small as normally the mum hides them away from other potential predators (like hyenas, lions and baboons) until they are a bit older.
