Chinese pandemic worker throws away food ordered by residents 'without permission'
A pandemic volunteer threw away groceries ordered by residents in northern China without permission.
Video filmed in the city of Jiamusi in Heilongjiang Province on September 25 shows a volunteer opening a bag of rice and pouring it into a bin.
He then crushed a bag of eggs before throwing them into the bin.
The community employees found some residents had ordered food to their community and the unchecked groceries risked spreading COVID-19.
The staff involved in the incident have been severely criticised and educated, and the relevant leaders have been held accountable.
Local media provided the video with permission.
