A mama bear stood on her hind legs to steal food from a bird feeder while her cubs held on to her.

Susan Augustson was looking into her backyard in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, US, when she spotted three bears wandering across the lawn.

Adorable footage shows the mama bear standing tall on her back legs with her front paws gripping onto a tray holding bird seeds.

While the female takes big mouthfuls, she pulls the tray closer towards her bending the pole and almost pulling it out of the ground while her cubs play around her.

Susan, 65, said: “I was surprised and delighted to see the bears. They’re the first ones I’ve spotted so far this year.

“Some summers we have them routinely and they absolutely love the bird feeders. Previously the bears destroyed the furniture but the feeders we have now have lasted several years despite the weight of the animals.
I hurried to get the dogs shut in another room so they wouldn’t bark and scare the bears away".
