Rain does not dampen the enthusiasm of the public to see the total lunar eclipse in Ismail Park Marzuki Using a Mobile Phone
People still flock to the Jakarta Theater, Ismail Marzuki, to watch the total lunar eclipse despite the rain on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Even though the sky was covered with clouds, the public still watched the bloody lunar eclipse through the screen provided by the Bloodmoon Night Picnic committee.
At the time this news was written, the totality of the lunar eclipse was beginning to end and leading to a partial lunar eclipse.
Putri, a resident of Cakung, admitted that she was a little disappointed that she couldn't see the lunar eclipse directly because it was raining.
"I'm disappointed, really. The thing is, right, I want to see directly, but instead it's raining. It's all covered by clouds, the moon can't be seen," he said on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
But he gave up, because he thought it was destiny.
"Yes, but what can I do if it rains like this. But (I) saw on the screen," he said.
The phenomenon of a total lunar eclipse or also known as the Blood Moon, can be seen by residents of Jakarta starting at 17.43 WIB or at the same time the moon rises.
"Broadly speaking, this event can be witnessed by all observers in the territory of Indonesia," said Astronomer Planetarium and Jakarta Observatory Management Unit of the Jakarta Arts Center Taman Ismail Marzuki Widya Sawitar, Monday, November 7, 2022.
Based on astronomical calculations, Widya continued, all regions of Indonesia can enjoy the phenomenon of a total lunar eclipse (GBT) today starting at 15:02:17 WIB to 20:56:08 WIB.
In general, for the layman, the stages of GBT on Tuesday afternoon are relatively easy to observe, starting at 16:09:12 WIB since the moon enters the main shadow or the earth's umbra (point U1) until 19:49:03 WIB (point U4). or when the moon leaves Earth's umbra.
According to Widya, at that time the appearance of the moon, which was supposed to be in the full phase, partially darkened, even turned dark red when the entire lunar disk entered the earth's umbra at 17:16:39 WIB (point U2) until 18:41:37 WIB (point U2) U3).
The description of the phenomenon is guided by what can be seen from the city of Jakarta, including the calculation of the time of its occurrence based on western time (zone +7 or WIB).
"However, once again, it is explained that Jakarta residents can only see the total lunar eclipse clearly after the moon rises on the eastern horizon at 17:43 WIB," he said.
The processing time range is 5 hours 53 minutes 51 seconds and the total stage occurs for 1 hour 24 minutes 58 seconds. The moon is exposed to the earth's umbra for 3 hours 07 minutes 25 seconds.
